What my mentees have said about me
Encouragement / Confidence
“Your mentorship has been an invaluable experience, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to learn from you and your wealth of experience and insight. You have been extremely patience, encouraging, and always willing to share your knowledge, which has significantly impacted my professional growth. You also created a space that gave me the confidence and courage to ask questions no matter how trivial they may be and I am so grateful for that. Thank you for being such an inspiring mentor!”
“Shelley is an ardent, hardworking, a kind co-worker and a great mentor. She made sure I had all the help needed while onboarding to the Amazon Fintech team. She truly made me feel comfortable asking questions, being very patient with me while I was learning the ropes and overall ensured a great collaboration which are signs of being a great team-mate and mentor.”
Career Guidance
“As my mentor, she helped me navigate my first full-time UX job and supported me during my job search after I was laid off during COVID-19. Shelley has the UX design process down pat and I’ve benefited so much from spending 90 minutes a week asking her all the questions I can think of about work life, problem solving, doing UX research, working with stakeholders, and much more.”
